Top Tips for a Healthier Diet

  1. Eat a wife variety of different foods as there is no one food that will provide all the nutrients we need
  2. Try to be less generous with the size of the portion you serve up
  3. Eat slowly so your brain gets the message when your stomach is full
  4. Choose low fat or lower sugar options when available
  5. Eat plenty of fruit and vegetables-aim for 5 portions a day
  6. Eat only when you are hungry
  7. Try to limit your use of salt
  8. Never go shopping when you are hungry
  9. Try not to regularly buy foods that are hard to resist
  10. Drink plenty of fluids especially water
