Urbanfitcrew was set up in 2011 by Richie Doran & Frank Whitney.
We offer Boxfit and Bootcamp training in Dublin City and Boxfit studio in Leitrim. Richie is a runner and former regional cross country and Track champion. Frank a former regional Boxing Champion, we decided to put our years of been coached and competing into use to help other people reach their fitness targets Both Rchie and Frank are certified fitness professional and have completed Irish Athletic Boxing Federation certification. .
We are passionate about training people and helping them reach their weigthloss , fitness goals. or just get back into better shape. All the sessions are geared for level of fitness from the beginner to the advanced, so it you haven’t trained for a while don’t let that stop you. The hardest part when getting back into training is getting off the couch and out to a class. When you get there I can assure you we will be there to keep you motivated and on track.
The Dublin studio has 3 different classes. Ladies only,ladies & mens mixed and mens only. In leitrim we do ladies only and mens only.
We encourage new members to come in for a trial session before signing to see what do. Application form for this is at the top of the page.
Boxfit sessions combing boxing drills and body resistance work (plenty of core/push ups). Boxfit originally started in the Garda Club, Harrington St but now you will find us in Our Ladys School, Terenure. You don’t need to bring any equipment or don’t need a partner. We teach you all the basic moves before going onto more advanced work. All bouts of exercise we do are 3 minutes to mimic a boxers training. Urbanfit Bootcamp sessions are extremely enjoyable and addictive. The instructors are very attentive and are aware of everyone’s fitness levels and cater for these. The sessions are manageable but you can rest assured they will push you to your limits in a good way!!! The variety of exercise ensures you get a full body work out everytime! I look forward to Bootcamp every week, Urbanfit crew have made me fitter than ever before and I would really recommend them!
I have been doing the bootcamp classes for a while now and i am really enjoying it. The classes cater for all fitness levels and Richie and the team are brilliant. They are really encouraging especially if you are having a tough session and the classes are good fun too with plenty of banter.
I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to get fit!
I did bootcamp for 6 weeks and noticed a huge difference in my strength and fitness. I managed to do the 10 KM Flora run for the first time after a month of bootcamp. I also went from a size 14 to a comfortable size 12. My legs and arms and stomach have toned up. I get married this week and I cant wait to get into my wedding dress. Photo’s to follow.

I get asked all the time do I need to be fit to join, absolutely not. The first few sessions will be a challenge for sure as your body adopts to the increased energy expenditure but trust me this will pass and you will see the benefits very quickly.
